Easy, At-Home Easter Crafts

While we may be stuck spending time indoors this Easter, we hope all of our family members and friends stay healthy and make the most of the holiday! Fortunately, there are so many ways to celebrate the holiday, without stepping foot outside of the house. We’ve gathered a few ideas that you can try out while you and the family enjoy Easter. Get creative with our crafty Easter ideas – all of our ideas require only a few materials, and they're perfect for kids! Stay safe, and Happy Easter to all!

Decorate Your Basket

While you may have to wait ‘til after the Easter egg hunt to decorate your baskets (the kids are probably going to be a bit distracted if you try this one out before the hunt), you can make Easter even more memorable by decorating the baskets. Break out the cotton balls, construction paper, pipe cleaners, stamps, coloring supplies, hot glue gun (just be sure to have an adult handle the glue gun) — you name it. You can create miniature bunnies to dot the sides of your baskets with a bit of paper, cotton balls, and a few markers. Or make a special “nameplate” for each of your family members, using colorful construction paper and our equally colorful customizable stamps! Add cotton ball clouds swirling around your basket. Or fasten bunny ears and a cute tail to your basket to make it look a bit like the Easter bunny! Get as creative and crafty as you’d like. Best of all, you can continue this tradition year after year with the same Easter baskets to make them extra special!

Bunny-Ear Caps

Kids love hopping around like the Easter bunny. Give each of your kiddos a bunny-ear cap so that they can make believe they’re the Easter bunny this year. You can create caps yourself, or get the kids in on the fun. Gather plain party hats, googly eyes, a hot glue gun, drawing supplies, and pipe cleaners. If you don’t have party hats, you can use plastic or paper cups and a bit of string! Decorate each hat with googly eyes, and draw on a pink bunny nose and mouth. Then use the pipe cleaners to attach big bunny ears at the top of the cap. Making bunny-ear caps is that easy! You can even add a little “bunny tail” to the back of the cap, just glue on a cotton ball or two! Your kids will love their custom hat, as they hop around the house!

Paper Flowers

Have the kids make paper flowers together! Again, you can gather construction paper, coloring supplies, pipe cleaners, and stamps to make cute paper flowers that won’t whither after a week. For young kids, simply have them cut out colorful flower shapes or individual pedals, and attach the paper to green pipe cleaner “stems.” If you have older kids, you can look up origami flower patterns to have them fold cute, symmetrical designs. Let your kids doodle on their flowers, adding texture, details, or just a bit of extra color. Once all of your flowers are complete, you can place them in a vase to make a bouquet, feel free to place it on the dining table as a centerpiece!
